I’ve heard it said before, the Bible is God’s love letter to us. In some ways I see it, especially if you study “Song of Solomon”. *insert awkward chuckle* if you don’t know; Song of Solomon is all about two lovers betrothed to be married declaring their love for each other.

At one point the man says to the woman :

You are altogether beautiful, my love; there is no flaw in you. (‭Song of Solomon‬ ‭4‬:‭7‬ ESV)

I can only imagine that’s how Christ views us, his bride. He died so we can be presented as blameless on the judgement day. It’s almost like he’s that man in the image looking at the woman all googly eyed and in love. When I think about how I am created in His image it makes me see myself in a different light.

It makes the zit, or stretch marks seem like less of a blemish when I know He sees me as beautiful. Not only that, but it changes the way I look at others. I am more understanding of others flaws because He’s more than understanding of my character flaws or physical flaws.

How can you live in light of His view of you? How can you show others how He sees them?

God bless. 🙂
